Take a Trip to Middle Earth!
This year's DPMS Theater Fall Play is "The Hobbit". This story follows the journey of Bilbo, a small type of human known as a hobbit, who enjoys a quiet and peaceful existence. That all changes when a wizard named Gandalf pulls him into an adventure with a company of 13 Dwarves. Soon, Bilbo is trying to outsmart trolls, escape goblins, solve riddles, and ultimately, burgle gold from a powerful dragon! Will Bilbo help the Dwarves reclaim their treasure, or will the quest end in fire? We hope you enjoy this staging of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic children's story!
Nearly 70 students have been involved in this production, from acting, to painting sets, to applying makeup, and more! It truly has taken a village to put this show on stage. Now, we just need a great audience!
The showtimes are 7pm on Friday, December 1st, 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 2nd, and 1pm on Sunday, December 3rd. Tickets are on sale now and cost $5. They can be purchased through showtix4u.com/events/
Runtime is approximately 120 minutes and will be presented with a 15 minute intermission.
