The English Language Arts curriculum includes reading literature and informational text, writing in a myriad of modes, grammar, vocabulary, speaking skills, and more.
Units, plans, and student assignments are similar throughout all the ELA grade 7 classes.
It is expected each student read personal choice materials for 2 1/2 hours each week.
This will be my 15th year teaching at DPMS. I graduated from UW-Green Bay with both my bachelor's degree in education and literature and my master's degree in education. My husband Ron and I have one son, Jacob, who is in seventh grade. I also have a stepson, Andrew, who is a Marine stationed in North Carolina with his wife. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and tinkering around the house.
