School Improvement Goals - 2018-2019
Literacy Continuous Improvement
Achievement: We, all staff at De Pere Middle School, will emphasize strategies of thinking and authentic literacy (reading, writing, and discourse) will ALL students at De Pere Middle School so that students will meet or exceed proficient or advanced grade levels on the Spring 2019 Lexile and/or demonstrate growth:
- Minimum 100 Lexile point growth on the Spring 2018 SRI in 7th grade
- Minimum 80 Lexile point growth on the Spring 2018 SRI in 8th grade
- Proficient: Grade 7 = 1000; Grade 8 = 1040
- Advanced: Grade 7 = 1091; Grade 8 = 1161
Math Continuous Improvement
Achievement: We, all staff at De Pere Middle School, will emphasize applications of Mathematical Practices with ALL students at De Pere Middle School so that on the Spring 2019 STAR Math Assessment students will meet or exceed the Grade Level Spring Scale Score and/or demonstrate growth.
- Minimum of 30 point growth per year
- At/Above Benchmark: Grade 7 = 852
- At/Above Benchmark: Grade 8 = 890
Student Engagement Continuous Improvement
Achievement: We, all staff at De Pere Middle School, will continue to implement the DPMS PBIS Redbird Connections with the goal of increasing positive behavior and academic success by teaching and modeling the expected behaviors in all settings, utilizing behavioral data to drive school-wide decision-making and processes, and implementing Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 interventions for students who have more intensive behavioral needs.
- 90% of students will be at the Tier I level of 0 or 1 office discipline referral
- 75% of students will be involved in at least one extra-curricular activity/club
